# Google Ads

Connect your Google Ads account to Moselle so Mo can see search and display advertising activity alongside sales — a one-click, self-serve setup in about 5 minutes.

## What This Connection Does

The Google Ads integration links your **Google Ads account** to Moselle so your search and display advertising activity sits next to your sales data. Like the Meta integration, this gives Mo the context to explain whether a sales spike was driven by advertising or something else.

Once connected, Moselle reads your account's activity and performance so Mo can:

* **Explain demand spikes** — connect a jump in sales to a campaign that was live at the same time
* **Account for promotions in planning** — recognize when marketing activity is inflating recent demand, so forecasts don't over- or under-react
* **Give fuller answers about performance** — factor advertising alongside sales history when you ask Mo why a product is moving

The connection is **read-only**. Moselle reads your advertising activity — it never creates, edits, pauses, or spends against your campaigns.

## What You'll Need

* [ ] A **Google Ads** account with access to the account you want to connect
* [ ] Permission to authorize third-party apps for that account (typically an **Admin** on the Google Ads account)

**Tip:** Make sure you're logged into the correct Google account before you start — the one with access to the Google Ads account you want Moselle to see. If you manage several ad accounts, you'll choose which to grant access to during the authorization step.

## Connect Google Ads

### Open the Integrations tab in Moselle

Click your **avatar** in the top right corner → **Settings** → the **Integrations** tab.

### Select Google Ads and click Connect

Find the **Google Ads** integration in the grid and click **Connect**. Moselle redirects you to Google to authorize access.

### Authorize access on Google

Review the requested access and choose the **Google Ads account** you want Moselle to read. Approve the request to return to Moselle.

## Reconnecting Google Ads

You may need to re-authorize the connection — for example, if you switch accounts or your access expires. When Google Ads is already connected, the button changes to **Reconnect**.

1. Go to your **avatar** → **Settings** → **Integrations**
2. Find **Google Ads** and click **Reconnect**
3. Complete the Google authorization again to refresh access

Reconnecting re-authorizes Moselle without removing your existing connection.

## Data Sync Details

**What syncs** — Search and display advertising activity and performance from the Google Ads account you authorize.

**Sync frequency** — Google Ads data syncs automatically once connected, refreshing on a daily cycle like other Moselle integrations.

**Where it shows up** — Google Ads context is used by **Mo** when reasoning about demand. Ask Mo about a product's recent performance and it can factor in whether advertising was running.

### Does connecting Google Ads let Moselle change my campaigns?

**No.** The integration is **read-only**. Moselle reads your advertising activity to inform planning — it never creates, edits, pauses, or spends against your campaigns.

### Can I connect Meta Ads too?

**Yes.** Google Ads and Meta are separate, independent connections — connect either or both from **Settings > Integrations**.
