# Google Sheets

Connect specific Google Sheets spreadsheets and tabs to Moselle with a one-click Google authorization — self-serve setup in about 5 minutes.

## What This Connection Does

**The Google Sheets integration is** a read-only connection between the spreadsheets you choose and your data in Moselle. It's a good fit when part of your catalog, supply, or planning data lives in a spreadsheet instead of a system of record with a native Moselle integration — bringing it in automatically instead of re-exporting a CSV every time it changes.

The connection uses Google's non-sensitive `drive.file` scope: Moselle can only read spreadsheets you explicitly pick, not your entire Drive.

## What You'll Need

## Connect Google Sheets

### Open the Integrations tab in Moselle

Click your **avatar** in the top right corner → **Settings** → the **Integrations** tab.

### Select Google Sheets and click Connect

Find the **Google Sheets** integration in the grid and click **Connect**. Moselle redirects you to Google's consent screen.

### Authorize access on Google

Sign in and approve the request to return to Moselle.

### Pick your spreadsheets

Click **Pick spreadsheets** to open the Google file picker. Selecting a file here is what grants Moselle's connection access to it — Moselle can't see spreadsheets you haven't picked.

### Choose tabs and a sync schedule

From the spreadsheet / tab list, select the specific tabs to sync. Set a schedule — **Off**, **Hourly**, **Every 6 hours**, **Daily**, or **Weekly** — or click **Sync now** to pull immediately.

## Set Your Sync Frequency

Once connected, you control how often Moselle re-reads your selected tabs from **Settings → Integrations → Google Sheets** — no need to reconnect to change it.

| Frequency         | Best for                                                 |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Off**           | Pausing automatic syncs (you can still use **Sync now**) |
| **Hourly**        | Sheets that change frequently throughout the day         |
| **Every 6 hours** | Active spreadsheets updated multiple times a day         |
| **Daily**         | Most spreadsheets — the recommended default              |
| **Weekly**        | Reference data that rarely changes                       |

**Tip:** Pick the least frequent schedule that still keeps your data current enough for planning. You can change the frequency at any time, and the new schedule takes effect on the next sync.

### Sync on demand

Click **Sync now** at any time to pull the latest version of the sheet immediately, without waiting for the next scheduled run. The Integrations page shows the **last synced** time so you always know how current your data is.

## Multiple Spreadsheets

You can connect more than one spreadsheet to a single Moselle account — for example, one sheet for sales data and another for inventory counts. Use **Pick spreadsheets** to add each file, then select tabs and a sync schedule for each.

## Data Sync Details

**What syncs** — Google Sheets can supply sales history, inventory levels, or catalog data, depending on which columns your selected tabs contain.

**SKU Matching** — Rows automatically link to Moselle items when the SKU column matches exactly. Non-matching SKUs require manual linking in the Catalog.

**Renames are safe** — Your selections are tracked by their underlying IDs, so renaming a spreadsheet or tab doesn't break the sync. Restructuring the data itself (moving the header row or removing mapped columns) can cause a sync to fail.

## Reconnecting Google Sheets

If your authorization expires or you need to pick additional files, go to **Settings > Integrations**, find **Google Sheets**, and click **Reconnect** or **Pick spreadsheets** again.

## Troubleshooting

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Does Moselle see all my Google Sheets files?

**No.** Moselle only has access to the specific files you select through the picker — connecting the integration doesn't grant access to your whole Drive.

### Does Moselle write data back to my spreadsheet?

**No.** The integration is **read-only** — Moselle never edits your source spreadsheet.

### Can I change which sheet is connected later?

Yes. Open **Settings → Integrations → Google Sheets** and use **Pick spreadsheets** to select a different file or tab. Moselle reads from the new selection on the next sync.

### What happens if I rename a spreadsheet or tab?

Your selections are tracked by their underlying IDs, so renaming a spreadsheet or tab doesn't break the sync — you don't need to reselect it.

### How do I disconnect Google Sheets?
