# Weekly Account Briefing

{% hint style="info" %}
**Quick Answer:** The Weekly Account Briefing is a Monday morning email from Mo that summarises your inventory health, sales performance, forecast changes, and recommended actions for the week — tailored to your business, delivered to your inbox.
{% endhint %}

## What is the Weekly Account Briefing?

**The Weekly Account Briefing is** a recurring opt-in email that gives you a high-level snapshot of your Moselle account every Monday morning. It is powered by Mo, who analyses your latest data — including inventory movements, sales performance, open purchase orders, and forecast changes — and compiles a tailored summary based on what matters most to your business.

Rather than logging into the platform to pull reports, the briefing brings your most critical account insights directly to your inbox in a concise, actionable format.

***

## Why is it important?

Most teams only review account health when something goes wrong — a stockout happens, a PO is missed, a forecast drift goes unnoticed for weeks. The Weekly Account Briefing shifts that dynamic by surfacing what matters before it becomes a problem.

Key benefits:

* **No login required** — insights arrive in your inbox, not buried in a dashboard you have to navigate to
* **Consistent weekly rhythm** — builds a regular habit around account health without scheduling a reporting session
* **Proactive risk surfacing** — Mo flags at-risk SKUs, inbound timing gaps, and demand shifts before they escalate
* **Tailored to your business** — Mo prioritises based on the context of your operations, not a generic template
* **Whole-team visibility** — scope it to the stakeholders who need to stay informed, without giving everyone full platform access

### Use Cases by Role

| Role | How they use it |
| -------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Founder / CEO** | A Monday pulse check on business health without opening the platform |
| **Head of Operations / Planning Lead** | Full coverage of replenishment priorities and at-risk SKUs ahead of the weekly planning meeting |
| **Finance Lead** | Visibility into the PO pipeline, open orders, and cash-impacting decisions |

## How Does the Weekly Account Briefing Work?

Once opted in, the briefing arrives every Monday morning. Mo reviews your latest data and surfaces the insights most relevant to your operations for that week.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Mo gets smarter over time.** Mo uses the context of your business and past conversations to determine what to surface. The briefing becomes more relevant as Mo builds a deeper understanding of your specific priorities and operations.
{% endhint %}

## What's Included

Each weekly briefing covers six key areas:

| Coverage Area                          | What You'll See                                                                                                                                                | Why It Matters                                                                  |
| -------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 📦 **Inventory Levels & Stock Health** | Current on-hand quantities by SKU, including finished goods and components. Flags any items below safety stock thresholds. | Catch low-stock situations before they become stockouts |
| 📈 **Sales Performance** | Revenue highlights and lowlights, recent sales velocity, sell-through by channel, and month-to-date pacing vs. your targets. | Understand how your business is trending week over week |

| 🔁 **Replenishment Recommendations** | Suggested reorder actions based on current stock and projected demand. Includes open PO statuses and upcoming delivery dates by warehouse. | Know what needs to be ordered — and when — without digging through the platform |
| 🚨 **Risks & Watch-Outs** | SKUs at risk of stocking out, buffer room based on inbound PO timing, out-of-stock period flags, and any business-specific alerts Mo has identified. | Surface issues before they escalate |
| ✅ **Actions This Week** | Recommended next steps from Mo — e.g. *"Your next production run for this SKU is not yet due"* or *"You are tracking below plan — consider placing an order."* | Turn insights into decisions without additional analysis |

## Getting Started

### How to Opt In

The Weekly Account Briefing is available to all active Moselle clients.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Coming soon:** A button within the admin portal will allow you to opt in, opt out, and manage recipients directly — no setup required.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**Recommended approach:** Start with just yourself or your planning lead, then expand to other stakeholders once the briefing content is dialled in for your business. This avoids unnecessary inbox noise before the template is customised.
{% endhint %}

***

## Delivery & Timing

The briefing is delivered every Monday morning — this is a fixed cadence. It reflects the most up-to-date data available at time of send, including any PO updates, inventory movements, and forecast changes from the prior week.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Use it before your weekly planning meeting.** The Monday briefing is designed to surface anything that needs attention so you can walk into the week prepared — no pre-meeting reporting required.
{% endhint %}

***

## Customising Your Briefing

The default briefing covers the most universally relevant account metrics.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Coming soon:** A button within the admin portal will let you adjust your briefing template and toggle individual sections on or off directly.
{% endhint %}

Examples of custom briefing configurations include:

* Highlighting specific SKUs, product lines, or categories
* Flagging items that have crossed a custom stock threshold
* Showing sell-through rates by a specific channel (e.g. DTC vs. wholesale vs. retail doors)
* Including a summary of POs placed during the week (sell-in report style)
* Adding weeks-on-hand and weeks-of-stock metrics for key SKUs
* Surfacing production planning highlights or shipment statuses
* Including location-level inventory breakdowns (e.g. by warehouse or retail door)
* Showing components inventory alongside finished goods

Once the admin portal button is live, you'll be able to configure these directly without any manual setup. Mo will generate the updated briefing consistently from that point forward.

## Popular Add-Ons

Beyond the standard briefing, clients frequently ask for additional context specific to how their business operates. Below are the most popular additions — these will be selectable directly from the admin portal once the briefing settings button is live.

**🗓️ Upcoming Holiday & Seasonal Moments**\
Flags key holidays and peak sales periods (e.g. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Fourth of July, Black Friday, Holiday Season) and shows how many weeks away they are — so you can confirm inventory and POs are in place well ahead of the spike.

**📊 SKU Performance Rankings & Bestseller Spotlight**\
A ranked view of your top-performing SKUs by revenue, units sold, or sell-through rate for the week. Can be filtered by channel (e.g. DTC, Amazon) or broken out by retail door.

**🚀 New Product Launch Tracking**\
For brands with frequent newness, Mo tracks how new SKUs are performing against comparable benchmarks and flags if sell-through suggests the forecast needs to be revised.

**📣 Marketing & Campaign Impact Flags**\
Surfaces weeks where a promotion or retailer event is live and shows whether sales velocity is responding as expected vs. baseline.

**🌍 Channel & Regional Breakdown**\
Splits revenue and inventory by sales channel (DTC, wholesale, retail) or by region, with warehouse-level stock positioning for brands operating across multiple locations.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://learn.moselle.io/mo/key-capabilities/weekly-account-briefing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
