  2. Under Launch Date, select the date

  3. Click Apply

Use future dates for upcoming product launches.

  1. Go to Adjust Forecast tab

  2. Under Product Comparables, search for similar SKUs

  3. Select one or more comparable products

Seasonality and Spikes

Phase Out a SKU

SKU phase-out marks a product as discontinuing so Mo stops generating reorder recommendations while continuing to forecast sell-down demand until inventory reaches zero.

Phase out a SKU before archiving it. Archiving without phasing out first removes the SKU from all planning views immediately — Mo will stop tracking sell-down and you may be left with unmanaged remaining stock.

Set a Phase-Out Date

From the item details page:

  1. Open the item details page

  2. Click the Phase Out button

  3. Set a phase-out date — the date from which Mo zeros out forecasted demand

  4. Click Save

During forecast creation:

When prompted — "Do you have any SKUs retiring?" — select the relevant SKUs, assign a phase-out date to each, and proceed. Mo factors phase-out dates into the forecast automatically.

Set the date as early as you know it. Mo uses the phase-out date to plan sell-down trajectories. The sooner it's set, the more accurate your sell-down projections will be.

Reverse a Phase-Out

If plans change, open the item details page, remove the phase-out date, and save. Mo will resume normal forecasting and reorder recommendations.

Replacing a Phased-Out SKU

Set up the replacement as a new product and assign the outgoing SKU as its Product Comparable in the Adjust Forecast tab. This gives Mo demand context for the new SKU immediately at launch. See Special Situations for more detail.

Archive a SKU

Archiving a SKU removes it from all active planning views in Moselle — it will no longer appear in your forecast table, production plan, or Mo's recommendations. Archive only SKUs that have been fully sold down and are no longer part of your active catalog.

SKU Lifecycle

A SKU moves through the following stages before archiving:

Stage
Description

Active

SKU is live and included in all forecasting and planning

Phasing Out

A phase-out date has been set. Mo forecasts sell-down demand but generates no new reorder suggestions

Discontinued

Inventory has reached zero. The SKU is no longer reordered

Archived

SKU is fully removed from all active planning views

When to Archive vs. Phase Out

Situation
Action

  2. Click on Products

  3. Click + Status and select Archived

  4. Find the product you want to restore and click on it to open its details
