What Is Forecast Period Locking?

Forecast period locking is a Moselle feature that prevents other users from editing forecast values for a specific time period once a plan has been approved. It gives your team a stable, agreed-upon baseline to execute against — for finance, operations, and supply chain.

Key Benefits

  • Preserve approved adjustments exactly as reviewed and signed off

  • Prevent unintended edits during execution

  • Enable accurate variance tracking by comparing actuals against a fixed forecast

  • Align cross-functional teams on a single committed plan
