Filter Your Forecast with Custom Views

What is a Custom View?

A custom view is a saved, filtered version of your forecast table that shows only the SKUs you care about. Instead of scrolling through every SKU each time, you build a focused view once — for example "SS26 Footwear" or "Wholesale Apparel" — and Moselle keeps it as a tab you can return to.

How to Create a Custom View

Open your forecast

Navigate to your forecast to open the SKU table. Above the table you'll see tabs for All SKUs and Missing SKUs.

Expected Result: The forecast table is visible with the tab bar across the top.

Click "Custom view"

Select the Custom view button (with the + icon) to the right of the tabs. A Create custom view dialog opens.

Name and filter your view

Fill in the dialog:

• Name — a label for the tab, e.g. SS26 Footwear

• Line — pick one or more product lines to include

• Sub-Line — narrow further by sub-line (product type)

• Channel — pick one or more of your active sales channels (for example DTC vs. wholesale) to include

• Attributes — add a row to filter by any custom attribute (for example a season or category) and choose which values to include

Selecting several values within one filter shows SKUs matching any of them. Adding filters across Line, Sub-Line, Channel, and Attributes narrows the view to SKUs that match all of those filters.

Channel behaves differently from the other filters. Line, Sub-Line, and Attributes narrow down which SKUs appear. Channel instead narrows down which numbers you see for those SKUs — it limits projections and actuals to the selected channel(s) and hides any row with no sales or forecast there. A SKU with no data in your selected channels simply won't appear, rather than showing up with empty values.

Save the view

Click Save. Your view appears as a new tab next to All SKUs.

Success! Click your view's tab any time to filter the forecast table down to just those SKUs.

How to Edit or Delete a View

1. Click the view's tab to make it active.

2. Click the pencil (edit) icon next to the tabs to reopen the dialog.

3. Update the name or filters and click Save, or click Delete to remove the view.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a custom view change my forecast?

Answer: No. A view only filters which SKUs are displayed. Your projections and forecast data are never changed by creating, editing, or deleting a view.

What's the difference between "All SKUs" and "Missing SKUs"?

Answer: All SKUs shows every SKU in the forecast. Missing SKUs shows only SKUs that still need details before their projections are complete. Custom views appear as additional tabs alongside these two.

Can I filter by a custom attribute?

Answer: Yes. In the Attributes section of the dialog, add a row, choose the attribute, and select the values to include. You can combine multiple attributes in one view.

Can I filter my forecast by sales channel?

Answer: Yes. Choose one or more channels in the Channel field when creating or editing a view. Unlike the other filters, this limits the projection and actuals numbers to those channels rather than filtering which SKUs are shown — see the note above for details.
