Start in Total Overview to find what needs attention, then open the view that matches the job. {% endhint %} ## Which Supply Plan View Should I Use? Every supply plan has the same five views in the tab strip at the top of the grid. They all show **the same plan and the same orders** — only the columns change. | View | What it shows | Use it to answer | | --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | | **Total Overview** | One row per SKU with five whole-period totals | "Which SKUs need my attention?" | | **Monthly Breakdown** | Every column, month by month and warehouse by warehouse | "What exactly should happen at each site, and when?" | | **Days On Hand** | Days of cover per month, per warehouse | "Where is stock running thin, and when?" | | **Replenishment** | What to order each month and what you'll have left | "What do I need to buy?" | | **Transfer** | What moves between your warehouses each month | "What should I move between sites?" | **Days On Hand**, **Replenishment**, and **Transfer** are built on Monthly Breakdown, so everything you can do there — expand warehouses, open order cards, stage and place — works the same way in them. ### How do Total Overview and Monthly Breakdown differ? | | **Total Overview** | **Monthly Breakdown** (and the three focused views) | | -------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **One row per** | SKU (grouped by product line) | SKU, expanding into one row per warehouse (plus an optional **Global** row) | | **Columns** | Five totals across the whole coverage period | One column group per month | | **Warehouse detail** | None — totals are network-wide | Yes — every warehouse's own numbers | | **Editing** | No | Yes — stage, place, edit, add orders and transfers | | **Filters** | Product, grade, order status, and search | Product, grade, warehouse, order status, period, search, plus the **Display** menu | **Time Required:** 5 minutes to learn the layout\ **Difficulty:** Intermediate Both tabs share the **Quantity / COGS** toggle. Quantity shows units; COGS shows the same numbers valued at unit cost, so you can review a plan in dollars. ## How Do I Read Order Status at a Glance? Every planned-order number in the grid wears a small **status badge**, so you can tell Moselle's ideas from your team's decisions without opening anything: | Badge | Meaning | | --------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Dotted blue outline**, no fill | **Suggested** — Moselle's proposal, still waiting for you. It will be regenerated on the next rebuild. | | **Solid blue fill** | **Staged** — you accepted or edited it. It is yours and survives rebuilds. | | **Solid blue fill with a small blue dot beside it** | **Both** — the slot holds staged units *and* a suggestion you have not reviewed yet | | **Plain number**, no badge | **Placed** or committed — a real purchase order or stock you already have | Two more cues flag problems: | Cue | Where | Meaning | | ------------------ | ------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Red-tinted row** | SKU row in Monthly Breakdown | An order or transfer for this SKU must be placed within **7 days**, or its order-by date has already passed | | **Triangle icon** | Unserved figures and the Demands row | Some demand is **unserved** — nothing reaches it in time | Not sure what a colour means? Hover the **info button** (ⓘ) beside the search field for the colour key. ## What Does Total Overview Show? Total Overview is a flat roll-up. Each SKU row (and each product-line group above it) carries five numbers summed across the whole coverage period, shown with the same status badges as the rest of the grid: | Column | What it counts | | ---------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Total Suggested Units** | Orders Moselle has proposed that you have not yet accepted. Regenerated on every rebuild. | | **Total Staged Units** | Orders you have accepted or edited. They are yours — they survive rebuilds and count as supply until placed. | | **Total Suggested Transfer Units** | Units Moselle proposes moving between your own warehouses — repositioning rather than buying — not yet accepted | | **Total Staged Transfer Units** | Transfers you have accepted | | **Total Unserved** | Demand that no order can reach in time. **This is the number to drive to zero.** | **How to use it:** sort or scan for SKUs with a large **Total Suggested Units** (decisions waiting for you) or a non-zero **Total Unserved** (a gap the plan could not close). Use **Order status → Urgent** to narrow the list to SKUs with an order due now. Click a SKU to open its **SKU Board**, or switch to Monthly Breakdown to see *when* the numbers fall. {% hint style="info" %} Total Overview has no warehouse rows or months, so the **Warehouse** and **Period** filters are only available on Monthly Breakdown. {% endhint %} ## What Does Monthly Breakdown Show? Monthly Breakdown lays the coverage period out left to right, one column group per month. Each month is always fully expanded, with up to seven sub-columns: | Sub-column | What it shows | | ------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Planned** | Suggested + staged units you need to **order in this month**, so they land on time. This is your action column. | | **Planned landing** | The same working orders, counted in the month they **arrive** | | **Transfers out** | Units leaving this SKU's warehouse(s) for another of your sites | | **Transfers in** | Units arriving from another of your sites | | **Unserved** | Demand this month that nothing reaches in time | | **Days on hand** | How many days of forward demand the month's ending stock covers | | **Ending** | Projected stock at the end of the month | {% hint style="info" %} **Planned vs. Planned landing** trips people up. An order with a 90-day lead time that must arrive in **June** shows in **Planned** under **March** (order by then) and in **Planned landing** under **June** (arrives then). If you only look at landing months, the plan reads as "nothing needed until June" — which is why the action column is bucketed by order-by month. {% endhint %} Use the **Display** menu in the toolbar to choose which sub-columns and detail rows appear — every one of them can be switched off — and **Reset to default** to bring them all back. The **Period** filter narrows which months are shown. ### Rows: from product line to warehouse Rows nest from the top down: 1. **Product line → sub-line** (or, for apparel catalogs, style → colour → size) — roll-ups of everything beneath 2. **SKU** — the item row, with the same sub-columns per month 3. **Global** — the SKU across the whole network. Hidden by default; switch on **Global roll-up row** in the **Display** menu. 4. **One row per warehouse** — that site's own numbers Expand a warehouse row to see how its month adds up: | Detail row | Meaning | | -------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Starting and additions** | Opening stock plus arrivals you have already committed to (placed purchase orders and placed transfers). Hover to see the breakdown. | | **Demands and depletions** | Forecast demand and stock shipping out. Flagged when some demand went unserved. | | **Consumed by production** | For components only — units used up by production runs that need them | | **Suggested/Staged order landing** | Working orders arriving this month at this warehouse | | **Suggested/Staged transfer out / in** | Working transfers leaving or arriving | | **Transfer balance** | Net working transfers — what arrives minus what leaves | | **Ending balance** | What is left at month end | Each of these rows can be hidden from the **Display** menu. ## What Does the Days On Hand View Show? **Days On Hand** strips Monthly Breakdown down to a single number per month: **how many days of forward demand the ending stock covers**. Every warehouse's cover sits side by side, so a thin month stands out as you scan across. | Shows | Hidden | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Days on hand** for every month, plus all the detail rows when you expand a warehouse | Planned, Planned landing, Transfers out, Transfers in, Unserved, Ending | **Use it when:** you want a health check before you start ordering — which SKUs, at which warehouses, dip below the cover you are comfortable with, and in which month. Then switch to **Replenishment** or **Transfer** to fix the gap. ## What Does the Replenishment View Show? **Replenishment** is the buying view. It shows what you need to order each month and what that leaves you with, without the transfer columns getting in the way. | Shows | Hidden | | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Planned** (what to order this month) and **Ending** for every month | Planned landing, Transfers out, Transfers in, Unserved, Days on hand | | Expanded warehouse rows: starting stock, demand, order landing, and ending balance | The **Suggested/Staged transfer out** and **transfer in** rows | **Use it when:** you are working through purchases and production runs — hover a **Planned** cell to stage or place the orders due that month. ## What Does the Transfer View Show? **Transfer** is the mirror image of Replenishment: it shows stock moving between your own warehouses, without new orders. | Shows | Hidden | | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | | **Transfers out**, **Transfers in**, and **Ending** for every month | Planned, Planned landing, Unserved, Days on hand | | Expanded warehouse rows: starting stock, demand, transfers out and in, transfer balance, and ending balance | The **Suggested/Staged order landing** row | **Use it when:** you are rebalancing stock across the network — hover a **Transfers out** cell at the sending warehouse to stage a suggested transfer or add your own. ### Can I change the built-in views? You can filter or adjust any built-in view while you are in it — add a Warehouse filter, switch a column on in **Display** — but the view itself cannot be edited or deleted, and it comes back as designed next time you open it. To keep your version, click **Save view**: Moselle saves it as a new custom view and leaves the built-in one untouched. ## How Do I Edit from Monthly Breakdown? Hover a **Planned**, **Planned landing**, or **Transfers out** cell on any SKU, Global, or warehouse row and a card opens listing every order in that slot. Each order is its own **order card**: * **The header shows the status and the next step.** It is coloured by status — light blue for **Suggested**, solid blue for **Staged**, green for **Placed** or **Delivered**, grey for **Archived** — and carries the button that moves the order forward: **Stage it →** on a suggestion, **Place it →** on a staged order. The header also names the order type and the supplier the order was planned from. * **Order units** — edit the quantity inline. It rounds up to the supplier's MOQ and order multiple as you type, and a line under the field names the rule that changed it, e.g. *"Raised to 2,500 — the MOQ is 2,500."* or *"Raised to 7,500 — ordered in multiples of 2,500."* A quantity above the supplier's order maximum is flagged in red. * **Dates** — edit the **order-by** and **landing** dates (for transfers, the **ship** and **landing** dates). Moselle never recalculates one date from the other; instead it reminds you when your dates disagree with the documented lead time: * **Red** — the gap is *shorter* than the documented lead time, so the goods cannot arrive in that window * **Amber** — the gap is *longer* than needed, so you are ordering earlier than you have to * **Grey** — no lead time is documented for this source or lane * **Archive** — the trash icon on the card. Moselle asks you to confirm before archiving. * **Stage all** and **Place all** appear when several orders share the slot. * **Add order** or **Add transfer** — create a new order from an empty month. New orders are born **staged**, because you wrote them. For a transfer you pick the origin and destination warehouse; the card prices the lead time from your map and tells you when it will land. The same card opens from the expanded detail rows, so the warehouse edits identically whether or not it is expanded. **Transfers in** cells open a read-only transit-flow card showing which warehouse the units are coming from and when they ship. ## How Do I See Every Order for a SKU or Warehouse? Every **SKU** row and every **warehouse** row has a **list icon** at the right edge of its label (tooltip: *View planned orders*). Click it to open a side panel listing that row's orders across the whole plan, not just one month: | Opened from | What it lists | | ------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- | | A **SKU** row | Every planned order for that SKU, at every warehouse | | A **warehouse** row under a SKU | That SKU's planned orders arriving at or leaving that warehouse | The panel uses the same order cards as the grid, so you can stage, place, edit, and archive from it. It also adds: * **Include archived** — show archived orders too * **Only \[month]** — when the panel was opened from a month's cell, narrow it to orders landing in that month * **Checkboxes** on each editable order, with **Archive** and **Stage** buttons at the bottom to act on everything you have selected at once ## How Do Filters, Display, and Custom Views Work? The toolbar hides rows and columns without changing any numbers — product-line roll-ups are unaffected. The one exception is the pinned **Total** row (below), which adds up only the SKUs you can see. Filters sit on the left, search and the colour key on the right. | Control | What it does | | ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Product** | Show only chosen product lines, sub-lines, or SKUs | | **Grade** | Show only SKUs with the chosen grade (**A**, **B**, **C**, or **No Grade**). Combines with the Product filter — a SKU must match both. Only appears if your items have grades. | | **Warehouse** | Show only SKUs that have rows at the chosen warehouses (Monthly Breakdown only) | | **Order status** | **Suggested** — SKUs with unreviewed orders; **Staged** — SKUs with accepted orders; **Urgent** — SKUs with an order due within 7 days or overdue | | **Period** | Show only some months: **Full horizon**, **Next 3 / 6 / 12 months**, or a custom **From–To** range (Monthly Breakdown only) | | **Display** | Choose which month sub-columns, detail rows, and the Global row appear. **Reset to default** restores them. | | **Clear all** | Clears the filters. Your Display choices stay. | | **Search** | Find a SKU or name | ### What Is the Total Row? The **Total** row stays pinned to the grid and adds up every SKU currently shown. Because it follows your filters and search, it always matches the rows on screen — filter to **Grade A** and the Total row becomes your Grade A total. ### Custom views Beside the five built-in views, you can save your own. When you change a filter or a Display setting, a **Save view** button appears. Click it — or **+ Custom view** — to save the current filters **and** column/row layout as a named tab, so "Urgent at East Coast" is one click next time. Inside a custom view, **Save view** offers **Save to this view** (update it) or **Create new view…** (save a copy). Use the pencil icon to edit the active view. Custom views open in Monthly Breakdown. Selecting **Total Overview** or **Monthly Breakdown** leaves the active view and resets filters and layout. ## What Is the SKU Board? Click a SKU to open its **SKU Board**: a grid of warehouse lanes down the side and months across the top. Every cell shows the same chips at the same height, so each column adds up visibly to its ending balance: | Chip | Colour | Meaning | | --------------- | ----------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Committed** | Grey text | Starting stock, placed arrivals, forecast demand, placed departures — reality you are not editing | | **Suggested** | White with dashed blue border | Moselle's proposal, awaiting you | | **Staged** | Solid blue | Your accepted orders | | **Placed** | Brief violet badge | Appears the moment you place, as the quantity moves into the committed chips | | **Transfer in** | Outline | Read-only at the destination — manage it from the origin warehouse | | **Ending** | Dark text | The month's closing balance | Hover a chip for the same order cards as the grid — edit quantities and dates, Stage, Place, Archive, or **Add orders** / **Move inventory**. Click inside the card to keep it open while you work; press Esc to close it. Hovering a transfer chip highlights its counterpart at the other warehouse. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Which view should I start in? **Answer:** **Total Overview**, to find the SKUs with suggestions waiting or unserved demand. Then open **Replenishment** to work purchases, **Transfer** to work moves between warehouses, or **Monthly Breakdown** when you want every number at once. ### Where did my Days On Hand, Replenishment, or Transfer changes go? **Answer:** Built-in views always reopen as designed. Click **Save view** while you are in one to keep your changes as a custom view. ### Why is the number in Planned different from Planned landing? **Answer:** They count the same orders in different months. **Planned** puts an order in the month you must *order it by*; **Planned landing** puts it in the month it *arrives*. The gap between them is the lead time. ### Why does Total Overview not show my warehouses? **Answer:** Total Overview is a network-wide roll-up per SKU by design. Switch to Monthly Breakdown and expand the SKU to see each warehouse, or click the list icon on the SKU row to see every order. ### What does "Unserved" mean? **Answer:** Demand that no purchase, production run, or transfer can reach in time — usually because the lead time is longer than the time left, or because nothing on your map can supply that warehouse. It is counted as lost, so it is the number to drive to zero. ### Why is a SKU row tinted red? **Answer:** One of that SKU's suggested or staged orders or transfers must be placed within the next 7 days, or its order-by date has already passed. Stage or place it, change its dates, or archive it if you disagree with it. ### Where did the Global row go? **Answer:** It is hidden by default. Open **Display** in the toolbar and switch on **Global roll-up row**. ### Why does the order card show a red or amber lead-time message? **Answer:** The dates on the order don't match the lead time documented for its supplier or lane. Red means the goods can't arrive in the time you've allowed; amber means you're ordering earlier than you need to. Moselle keeps your dates either way — the message is a reminder, not a correction. ### Can I see the plan in dollars? **Answer:** Yes. Use the **Quantity / COGS** toggle. COGS values every quantity at unit cost. ### Can I filter a supply plan by SKU grade? **Answer:** Yes. Use the **Grade** filter in the toolbar to show only A, B, C, or No Grade SKUs.
