Item Details

Let’s start with choosing an item you want to edit. There are two ways you can do this:

  • Use the search bar at the top of the Moselle webpage and type in the Name or SKU you want to edit.

  • Open your catalog page and select an item by clicking on the "view item" button at the furthest right column

Once you select the item, you will be brought to the item details page. Here you can click into the text field and update your product information anc custom attributes.

  • You can update the SKU, Item Name, SKU type, Unit Price, Unit Cost and Product Description. Once you’ve added in those details, your information will automatically be saved in the item details

  • You also can change whether an SKU is a Core, Bundle, Variant, or Component. You can choose to categorize these items and it will help correctly arrange your items to be viewed properly when planning your forecasting and production.

What kind of SKU types are there?
  • Core SKU - An item that isn’t competent and might have many variations, but inventory and demand are tracked.

  • Bundle - A grouping of SKUs you sell together in your store.

  • Component - A SKU that is an element of a larger whole for an SKU.

  • Variant - An interaction of an existing SKU that is to be considered a standalone SKU.

Adding your Bill of Materials

You can add, edit, and delete as many items into your bill of materials. Click on the "+ Add new materials" button under the Bill of Material section and pop up window will appear. Enter an Item, and the number of materials used.

Once entered, click on the add button to include that item into the bill of materials. Your item page details, will now list out all materials included for your finished good items.

Link a Store Listing

At the bottom of the item details page, you will find your External Listings section. Click on the "Link Listings" button to open the slideout and link your external listings to your item. Type in the SKU or Product Name, and it will produce results of your available listings from the channels you have integrated with Moselle.

Once an item listing has been selected, click on the save button to complete the item linkage. Your linked listings will then appear at the bottom of the page under the External Listings section of the item details page.

How do I Archive an Item?

On your Item Product Page, there is an Archive button you can click at the top right corner beside the Edit Button. Once an item has been archived it will be removed from your planning page and production plans, but will continue to sync its inventory and sales.

How can I add Attributes to an Item?

On the Item Details Page, click on the "+ Add" button under the Custom Attributes section to include an attribute and its value. A pop up window will appear that will prompt you to search for an attribute from the drop down list.

You can either choose an existing attribute and assign a value to it or enter a new attribute. If the system doesn't recognize the attribute, it will prompt you with an "Add New" button, allowing you to create a new item.

To add a new attribute, click on the "name drop down", where it prompts you to "search attribute" type in a new one and it will give you an option to add it.

Adding attributes can help organize and sort your items on the planning page when viewing forecasts on Moselle. It can also help view your custom reports more dynamically

How can I add MOQs?

You can add an minimum order quantity (MOQ) as a value when entering a new attribute.

Adjust Forecast

Adjust your Launch Dates

Under the Adjust Forecast tab, there will be an Adjust Launch Date section where you can select a date that you started recording sales for that item.

Click on the date field and enter in a date where that item has begin recording sales.

You can also include future date for new items that are added to your catalog. This is a great way to help plan for new SKUs that are being launched for planning purposes.

Product Comparables

Moselle can also rank your products against similar products in yoru catalog. If you have a newly launched item with no historical sales, you can select a comparable product as a substitute. Under the Product Comparables section, select the drop down menu and search up a SKU that you think is a comparable product. You have the ability to add multiple product comparables for an item.

Adjusting for Sales Spikes and Seasonality

You can also adjust how often an item experiences sudden changes of demand over time, and seasonality. Select the slider from not often to very often, then select apply to adjust that item for your forecasting.

Suppliers

On the Supplier tab, you can link suppliers to items with their respective prices and supplier SKU. This feature enables Moselle to generate orders and choose the most cost-effective item when the same product is being ordered and offered by multiple suppliers. Click on the "+ Add Supplier Price" to begin adding a supplier and a supplier SKU if available. Next, enter a currency that is associated with this supplier and a price. Lastly, choose a tolerance amount, which is how much wiggle room you want to give the price just incase a preferred supplier who has a slightly higher price can be selected as the best supplier during order creation.

Summary

The Summary tab will outline a forecast summary for an item, and will compare it to your master forecast, last year sales, and current year sales.
