Select the Planning feature on the Moselle menu to be redirected to your Scenario Plans.
Your active scenario plans will be displayed as forecast files which you can select and choose to view. Each forecast file will have the following:
A name for the scenario plan.
The author who created the plan.
A forecast range.
A date for when the plan was created.
A timestamp of when it was last updated.
To select a forecast file, click on the scenario plan name in the forecast file to direct you to that file's planning page.
Click on the Create Scenario Plan button to start a new scenario plan. On the planning page, there are three tabs that you can navigate; Forecast, Replenishment, and Data Uploads. Each tab will help you formulate your forecast.
On the Forecast tab, you can choose a Date Range on the drop-down menu that will update your SKU table. You can select a range that goes back to view recorded historicals and a future range to see your planned months.
The File dropdown menu allows you to access the general settings of the scenario plan.
The View dropdown menu displays the different types of AI Models that the Moselle system uses. Selecting any of these forecasts will prefill the table with its projections. You can also select the two different forecast view types: Units and Core Unit SKUs.
The Automate dropdown menu will display two forecast selections. A top-down forecast for gross sales and a bottom-up forecast generation using our AI models.
Editing Scenario Plan
Under the File menu option, clicking on Rename will prompt you to enter a new name for the scenario plan. Click on the Update button to save the new scenario planning name.
Setting a Scenario Plan to Default
When you set a plan to default, you lock that scenario plan in as the Default Plan on your forecast outlook chart on your home dashboard. You can use this function to quickly compare how your forecast is performing against Moselle's forecast, last year's sales, and current year's sales.
Once setting a scenario plan to default, a green default icon will appear on your forecast card on your scenario plan selection.
Selecting this option will allow you to upload a forecast into a scenario plan.
Archiving A Scenario Plan
When selecting the archive dropdown selection, your scenario plan will be moved into the archive section. This will make it hidden from all of your active scenario plans.
We store your archived scenario plans if you want to view them again. If you wish to view or revive a plan, ask our support team for assistance at support@moselle.io
Exporting A Scenario Plan
When selecting to export your scenario plan, a CSV file will be sent to your email to download.
Change your forecast view between Units and Core Units.
Units will display all units sold across your sales, including bundle SKUs and raw materials.
Core Units will exclude all Bundle type SKUs from the table, displaying only the individual core SKUs.
Preview AI Forecast
This option will display all available AI Models. Choosing an AI model will prefill its projections in the scenario plan table. Learn more about our AI Models.
Top Down Forecast
The Top down forecast converts a revenue forecast into a unit forecast.
To edit the top down forecast, click on "Edit Top Down Targets." This opens a table organized by channels, where you can input your gross sales directly. You can also quickly prefill monthly projections by copying your gross sales from your spreadsheet into the table.
Choosing this option will start converting your entered revenue forecast into units. If your top-down table already includes a revenue forecast, your scenario plan table will update to reflect a unit forecast.
Generating a Bottoms Up Forecast will put in place the AI model that you have selected. This means any changes you have made on the scenario plan will be saved.
Choosing to overwrite your scenario plan and apply AI Projections will replace all existing projections in that scenario plan permanently. Please review thoroughly before confirming to make these changes.
At the bottom of the planning page, select the "Export" button to have a forecast upload template of the scenario plan emailed to you.
Use this template for the selected scenario plan only. Do not remove the scenario plan, channel, or item IDs as they are needed to map out your forecast in Moselle.
Fill in or edit your projections using the template provided. Once you have updated your forecast, save it as a CSV file and upload your new forecast using the "Upload Forecast" button at the bottom of the planning page.
Select the file and click on the "Upload" button to overwrite the current forecast for the plan. Refresh the page and your forecast will appear in the SKU table.
