Customize a Forecast
You can refine your forecast further by uploading your own projections or fine-tuning your items to improve accuracy

Under the file drop down menu, select the "Export" button to have a forecast upload template of the scenario plan emailed to you.
Use this template for the selected scenario plan only. Do not remove the scenario plan, channel, or item IDs as they are needed to map out your forecast in Moselle.
Fill in or edit your projections using the template provided. Once you have updated your forecast, save it as a CSV file and upload your new forecast using the "Upload Forecast" button under the File drop down menu on the planning page.
Select the file and click on the "Upload" button to overwrite the current forecast for the plan. Refresh the page and your forecast will appear in the SKU table.
You can include a product launch date for any item to further customize your forecast. This is useful when you plan to launch a new item in your catalog.
In the Moselle search bar, type in an item that you want to adjust. In the item details page, click on the "Edit" button at the top right corner to open the slide-out. Select the "Adjust Forecast" tab and the first option below will be called "Product Launch Date". Choose a date from the drop down menu where you would like to start recording sales for that item in Moselle.
The Sales Spikes bar will help indicate how you expect the item will change in demand over time. For example, if it will be affected by certain markdowns, promotions, liquidations, or other sales. Move the indicator on the bar from left to right to mark how often it will be affected by certain sales spikes.
The Seasonality bar will help indicate how much seasonality impacts the demand of the product in the past. For example, if it is an item that is a summer-only product you can indicate that it is a "Very Seasonal" item.
This section will allow you to rank and compare your products against other products in your catalog. For example, if you are launching a new product with no sales history you can select a comparable product from your catalog you think that will perform the similarly.
Type in or Choose an item from the "Select Comparable Product" drop down menu and once selected, it will appear as a product comparable. A delete button will also appear beside the item comparable if you want to remove it from the list.
