Click the Production feature from the Moselle Menu to be redirected to your production plans landing page.
The Production page will give you an overview of all available plans you have made in Moselle. At the top will be your Master Production Plan which is the plan that you and your team have finalized and will use for your production planning. The Previous Production plans are a list of all plans that you or the team have created. Each plan will highlight which forecast plan is being used, a production plan name, a plan type, a warehouse, a coverage period, and a last updated date.
On the production plan page, click on the Create Production Plan button to begin setting up your plan parameters. You can choose to create a Replenishment Plan or an Allocation Plan. Replenishment Plans will help you determine how much stock to reorder and when. Moselle will provide a list of items that are at risk of stocking out and its recommended buys. Allocation Plans will help you determine how to distribute your inventory to mutiple locations. For example, if you have any brick and mortar stores set up in Moselle, it can help determine how to allocate your inventory.
After selecting a plan type, our Lightning Forecast will help guide you to creating your own forecast. First, choose an existing forecast as the basis for the production plan as it will help you create your production plan. Next, if there is a location you want to replenish, you can choose a warehouse from the drop down menu.
The coverage period is where you want to select the range of your production plan. These dates need to be included in your production plan as Moselle will calculate your at-risk items between these dates, and how far out you need to replenish or allocate.
Your plan frequency can be determined by month or by week. Whichever frequency you choose, the production plan will provide an output of your suggested replenishment quantities in that format.
Lastly, enter a name for your production plan. Make sure it is a name that you or a team member can easily refer to.
Each production plan that you create is a snapshot using your forecast. Remember if you want to get a more up to date production plan, click on the rebuild button
You can determine the bundle and case handlings in this section of the Lightning Forecast. You can either choose to replenish SKUs (including bundles), Core Skus (roll up bundles and cases into Core SKUs), and components..
Toggling on the All Products toggle will include all products, including those that do not have replenishment recommendations.
Transit Lead times are an optional parameter that can be selected by the drop down menu. Moselle can determine lead times by month, however choosing a lead time will not overwrite any lead times you have entered on the SKU level.
Safety stock is another optional parameter that can be selected. You can enter no safety stock or add in safety stock in intervals of 30 days.
Once you've entered your parameters, your production plan will appear below the previous production under the forecast you have chosen as its basis.
